Dried meat, also known as beef jerky, is becoming increasingly popular. However, the production of this tasty snack is very resource-intensive. An average of 200-350 g of fresh meat is needed to make around 100 g of beef jerky. We have developed a completely plant-based alternative: our plant jerky. The newly developed production process enables us to produce jerky that comes very close to the original in terms of texture, flavour and appearance.
